Ok my Rough is located on a very beautiful beach where a beautiul queen lives in a chinese inspired castle. I was inspired to create this rough because i really love the beach and i love the chinese culture and architecture. I have a really beautiful picture i took of the beach that i have always wanted to use i also have a few pictures i took in china town and that was my inspiration to create this.
A very simple illustration that has a quaint feeling but not exactly the same as the illustration, The tail is the best part, the use of the gradient and the marks over the top done randomly are so much more effective that the very generic blue gradient thorax. The claws are too simple and watch where the black shadow sits on top of the claw.

Luis where is your blog. do not forget to scan and put your roughs - it is great to get a process documentation - Also with your work it would be good to see the stages you go through perhaps take a screen shot of the process - showing the pictures you took etc
